Phillips DVD built-in 160 GB hard drive …. . help?
I am so excited about a Christmas present early, but after plugging in this, I think I would have been more fortunate to have waited a year or a little better researched. How can this work with my sharp HDTV flat screen? I am currently always over the air digital signals (we do not have cable or satellite) and when I plug the antenna input in the Phillips unit, I give the signal to the TV. That Problem is, the Phillips unit does not have an HDTV tuner … only SDTV. I think I have not enough attention is paid. He receives some channels, others not. Is there a way to improve the reception or use the device to record high-definition programs? Help.
No – the only way to get HDTV record to a DVD would be with a Blu-ray or HDTV recorder. They can be incorporated with an HD DVR from your cable company, satellite company or Tivo.
