I have a digital video camera and want to connect it to a DVD recorder gives me the same picture quality?
I tried to connect my DV camera computer and capture the video directly on my PC. However, the video quality varies, sometimes I get an exact copy, sometimes pixelated image or skips insinc video and not with the audio. If I put the video on a DVD using a DVD recorder then put the DVD into the computer I can download the video and editing it with the video quality as the original?
Using a DVD burner is "analog" video transfer, and will not be crisp and clear, compared streaming directly to your PC. The video quality may vary due to the capture format. If the capture of a video with nothing less than a raw uncompressed AVI, you capture a "speed variable bit rate (VBR) video, which will cause variations in the quality of video that have been described. You have to pay attention to the software configuration that video capture program team. I have some software for capturing video and my favorite is Ulead Video Capture. The most likely configuration you should start with are: 1. "Capture Plug-in" = DirectShow 2. "Control device" = MS 1394 Device Control 3. "DV Type" = 1 4. " Capture template "= DVD NTSC (USA) 5. Filed as non-compressed AVI premiums above values are the foundation for capturing the best possible video quality from the device to your PC. reproduction will be cut in a slow computer (hopefully), so you need to convert the AVI file to a massive archive MPEG-2 for DVD. The file MPEG-2 will be played without problems on the PC. If you need to edit the video, then edit the uncompressed AVI, then convert it to MPEG-2
